Copy, Content and Developmental Editing (automatically includes proofreading) — cost is based upon the number of words and includes at least two full rounds of edits.  The cost is 2.2 cents per word for less than 10,000 words, 2.0 cents per word for 10,000 – 30,000 words, and you will receive a 5% discount if you have over 30,000 words; a 10% discount for over 60,000 words; and a 15% discount if you have over 120,000 words.  Have more than one document/book/website to be edited?  We can combine the number of words to bring your cost even lower!  Contact me if you have questions or to see if I have any Special Deals going on!

Proofreading — cost is based upon the number of words and includes two full passes.  1.35 cents per word for less than 10,000 words, 1.2 cents per word for 10,000 – 30,000 words, and you receive a 5% discount if you have over 30,000 words; a 10% discount for over 60,000 words, and 20% for over 100,000 words.  Have more than one document/book/website/article to be proofread?  We can combine the number of words to bring your cost even lower!

Proofreading for Students and Non-Profits — cost is based upon the number of words.  1.25 cents per word for less than 10,000 words, 1.2 cent for 10,000 – 30,000 words, and you receive a 5% discount if you have over 30,000 words.

eBook Design/Formatting and Uploading — $159 to design/format and upload to 1 site (Kindle, XinXii or Google eBooks), $285 to upload to 3 sites, $405 to 11 or 12.  An additional $295 for Clickbank and you must have a webmaster that can upload code to the website, create autoresponders, etc.

  • 3 sites include Kindle, XinXii and Google eBooks
  • 11 sites is 12 sites if the book is a how-to book.  It covers Kindle, iBookstore, Google eBooks, Nook (Barnes & Noble), Scribd, Smashwords, Kobo,  XinXii, Hive, Overdrive, and several others.

Print Book Design/Formatting and Uploading — $235.00 for under 100,000 words, a bit more if you have over 100,000 words to have the book designed, $75 to set up new account and upload (plus any fees your chosen printer requires). I’ll work closely with you to make sure that when you hold your new book in your hands, you’ll be THRILLED!

Bookkeeping Services — $28.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on your needs. Contact me for a more precise quote.

Amazon and Bookbub Author Pages — $60.00 to create an Amazon Author Central account (and link book(s) to the page) or a Bookbub Author Page (and link book(s) to the page) or $95.00 to create both at the same time.

Virtual Assistance — $28 – $35 per hour (charged in 15 minute increments) dependent upon the scope of the work.  I can also provide you with a monthly quote for regular, recurring (retainer) services.

Web Design Updates — $33 per hour (charged in 15 minute increments)

Websites — Websites are built in WordPress and I can help you find the perfect theme/template for your look and needs.

  • 1 page website – $255
  • 3 page website – $325
  • 4-7 page website – $475
  • 8-12 page website – $675
  • 13+ page website – add $35 per page
  • Hosting website – $185/year (can be billed quarterly).  This includes time spent on domain renewal and up to 3 professional email addresses
  • Website updates – $120 – $195/month or $33.00 per hour
  • Templates normally run $40-$95; billed at cost

Monthly Billing / Retainer Work — This can be arranged for ongoing projects (such as social media management, local marketing, newsletters, website updates, etc.).  Please contact me with the scope of the project(s) and I can provide you with a quote.

Rush and Required Weekend Work — There is a $7-$8 per hour additional charge for any rush and/or required weekend work unless negotiated prior to services being rendered.

Payment — A 70% deposit is required before the project is started (for all projects under $200, full payment is due before work is started), in addition to any up-front costs incurred (such as a website theme / template; my cost for these items is your cost), with the balance being due within 10 days of the completion of the project (a $40/month service fee will be applied to all payments not received by the due date).

Payments can be made via money order, certified check, or PayPal (includes credit card and check payments).  Payments made via PayPal will incur an additional 4% (U.S.) or 5% (outside of U.S.) charge.  Any checks returned will incur a $40 returned check charge in addition to any late payment fee(s).

Referrals — For each referred client, you will receive a credit of 12% of the profits of their first project toward your services.

  • For each referred client’s second project, you will receive a credit of 10% of the profits toward your services.
  • For each referred client’s third project, you will receive a credit of 5% of the profits toward your services.
  • When you refer someone to me, please do the following so I can be sure you receive your referral discount:
  • Email me to let me know you’ve made a referral.  Please include their full name and/or company name, as well as their contact information;
  • Ask the new or prospective client to inform me that they were referred by you;
  • If you would like me to keep you updated on each referral’s projects, please send me an email with the request.

Bartering — Bartering may also be an option.  Many times companies provide products and/or services that I need, so an arrangement can be made in advance to ‘trade’ services.  Contact me and we’ll see if this is a viable option for us.
